Recognizing and Preventing Rabies, Bird Flu and Other Contagious Diseases in Pets, Livestock and Wildlife In-Person
Two experts in epidemiology and animal care from the New River Health District will teach us how these contagious diseases may manifest locally and what we can do to keep our pets and livestock healthy. Discussing symptoms, transmission, prevention, and the types of investigations they do here in the New River Valley. And Environmental Health and Services provided by New River Health District to address these diseases. Gillian Garnett is an Environmental Health Associate with the New River Health District, and Erica Short is an Epidemiologist/Infection Preventionist with the New River Health District.
