Monarch Waystations In-Person
Blue Ridge Heritage in partnership with the Southwest Piedmont Master Naturalists and the Dan River Basin Association will be presenting a program on Monarch Butterflies. This program will focus on monarch traits and the type of Waystations they seek during migration through Virginia.
Learn how to create and design your own waystation to help save this beautiful native endangered butterfly. This program will be lead by Regina Flora, MS, VMN, Certified Virginia Master Naturalist and Education Outreach Chair with the Southwestern Piedmont Master Naturalist chapter.

Regina Flora is a graduate of Old Dominion University, completing a Master of Science in Occupational and Technical Studies with concentrations in Education. After retiring from the business world, Regina joined Dan River Basin Association as Asst Educator. She volunteers as a Certified Virginia Master Naturalist and serves as Education Outreach Chair with the Southwestern Piedmont Master Naturalist chapter. She is also a Project Learning Tree Facilitator. Regina loves to explore diverse environments around the world. At home she gardens, takes nature walks, and is an avid birdwatcher.
Blue Ridge Heritage is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that is dedicated to promoting education and economic development through place-based programs related to the natural and cultural heritage of the Blue Ridge in Southwestern Virginia’s Bi-County area of Floyd and Patrick Counties. The center's educational outreach is the Twentieth Century. This focus is promoted through interpretive programs that span the log cabin stereotype of the Nineteenth Century to the globalization begun in the Twentieth Century.
